BMW knows it isn't betting on a losing hand with the BMW i3 which is why they took it to the Consumer Electronics Show in fabulous Las Vegas. While other automakers were there to display their cars that are quite far from being available, BMW was ready to show the here and now electric car of the future.

The i3 is already on the market, and rather affordable compared to some other luxury electric cars. Two couples also got to try out the innovative features available in the i3, such as its collision avoidance and self-parking technology.

With a blindfold on, a couple drove around with no clue as to their destination or what obstacles lie ahead (or behind them). The car took care of everything, stopping before hitting anything in the front or back, and even sensed when something was too close to the sides. Aside from this feature, a couple got to try out the parking assistant which maneuvers into a spot with the touch of a button.

How do you think this could impact the way you drive? Would you be ready to let the car make decisions on your behalf?
