S58 Engine
The S58 engine is included with the BMW M2 Coupe, M3 Sedan, and M4 Coupe. In its base configuration, the S58 powertrain delivers 473 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque for the M2 Coupe, or 406 pound-feet of torque with the M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe.
The BMW M3 Competition boosts output to 503 hp and 479 lb-ft, while the M3 Competition xDrive delivers 523 hp and 479 lb-ft. The BMW M4 Competition, M4 Competition xDrive Coupe, and M4 Competition xDrive Convertible offer the same output. Additional specs for the S58 engine include the following:

The S68 powertrain offers a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine, driving M Series models including the BMW X5 M and X6 M SUVs, the M5 Sedan, M5 Touring wagon, and XM Label SUV. Output varies from trim to trim, with the M5 Sedan, M5 Touring, and XM Label adding electrified components for increased performance and efficiency.
The BMW X5 M, and BMW X6 M offer 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque with the S68 engine, while the BMW M5 lineup adds an electric motor for 717 hp and 738 lb-ft. The BMW XM Label has a unique electrified setup, pairing the S68 engine with plug-in hybrid components for 738 hp and 738 lb-ft. Additional specs can be found below:
